LAST PRISONER

There's a little town in Texas
'Neath a too big sky of stars
There's a pattern that's reflectin'
In the dim lit neon bars

Felt there for a second
Lord if I could only fly
Could be anywhere but here until I die

Cause I've been walking the factory floor
Trying to make ends meet
Hour after hour
But I've still got mouths to feed

Some days it's too hard
To stay out of them bars
So I go in and grab a seat
But I ain't gonna let it be the death of me

I'm willing to forgive you
Willing to forget
That's my choice
I can't chose for two

Outside these walls it's being bought and sold
And the line goes 'round the block
Inside these walls
There's nothing I can do

So I bought myself some seed
From a mail-order catalog
Plant a little a garden
Didn't mean no harm

But the police came hauled me away
That's the last thing that I saw
Now I count the days
Inside these prison walls

I'm willing to forgive you
Willing to forget
That's my choice
I can't chose for two

Outside these walls it's being bought and sold
And the line goes 'round the block
But inside these walls there's nothing I can do
Inside these walls there's nothing I can do
Inside these walls there's nothing I can do
